Fitness trackers have gained more and more popularity in recent years. Some of that popularity is less and some is more justified. At Geek Gym, we believe that fitness trackers are not necessary, but at the same time they can be a useful tool, just be aware that you will probably use them less for what they convince you, and more for something completely basic like seeing the time :)

Advantages
1. Objectification and quantification of the daily level of activity
We all have a certain idea and assessment of how active we are (or are not), what is important is that we are aware of the subjectivity and thus the potential inaccuracy of this assessment. The fitness tracker helps us to objectify our assessments and get a more accurate insight into the state of affairs.
The only important thing is to understand that you don't have to have insight on a daily basis, but there is a benefit to getting it now and then or when you are interested.
